Abstract





This research aims at discovering the implementation of the research report writing skill employing Conferencing approach to develop a values through Writing Workshop. This study was quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design as the subject were eighth grade students from FKIP UMMI school year 2013/2014, consists of 14 students as experimental group and 14 students as a control group. Data was gathered through a written test to write a report of observations, observation, questionnaires, and interviews. Based on this study results, it is recommended for teachers to use conferencing approach in learning writing process. It can make learning more meaningful and improving communication skills in writing report. In addition to the approach made the conferencing as an effort to motivate learners in improving the quality of writing as well as to avoid plagiarism.
