This research studies English Learning of Elementary School Student. The aim of this research is to describe speech act acquired by students, determining

factor of student success, and difficulties experienced by student in learning English. The research method that used is descriptive design with qualitative

method. The population and sample are the speech acts of student from the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. It uses probability sampling. The techniques of data

collection are depth interview, active observation, full active observation, recording, and giving questioner. In this research found 21 of English speech acts. The

determining factor in learning English are formal presentation, first language, age, motivation, and environment. Those factors are significant in determining

the student success in learning English. The difficulties in learning English are vary, from difficulties in speaking, reading, translating, pronouncing, and

writing.
